Inspection Information

During the course of a project, a variety of inspections will need to occur, and all inspections require a 24-hour notice. 

How do I schedule an inspection? 

Call the Community Development Department 630-941-8300 ext. 209 and provide the contact name and number of the person for the inspection, project name and address, permit number, and type of inspection. 

Inspection Hours

Inspections for building, electrical and mechanical are only conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and noon.

Plumbing inspections are performed Monday through Friday, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

To schedule an inspection for fire alarm or fire sprinkler you must contact the Fire Department directly to which you submitted plans.
